| The Old tavern Inn was built in 1835 (over 170 years ago) by Peabody Cook who sold his own whisky for 3 cents a dipperful. The Inn became famous over the years as a stage coach stop between Chicago and Detroit. |
The O.T.I. was designated by the Historical Society of Michigan as the oldest business in its original building in the state. The current owners, Jeff and Val Gaideski have placed pictures and memeriblia throughout the business and also have books on the history of the Inn for our customers reading pleasure. |
So kick back enjoy the great food, drinks, and relaxing atmosphere of the oldest business in Michigan. |
